Christopher
AvailableChristopher is a male, large Labrador Retriever with a short black coat. He is an adult who is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Right now, Christopher is located in Warren, OH and is looking for a stable, loving home.
About Christopher
Christopher's story stands out. After his elderly owner could no longer handle his strength, he was surrendered to the rescue, not for lack of love, but out of concern for both his safety and theirs. For a long while, Christopher struggled in the shelter environment. Stress hit him hard, and the daily routine was tough. He didn’t get much attention early on, simply because he was overwhelmed and had trouble adjusting. Since moving to a quieter location, everything started to shift for him. Christopher now interacts well with volunteers and reveals a smart, genuinely sweet side. He’s food-motivated, making positive reinforcement training effective. Because of his past and time in the kennel system, the team seeks a calm, low-traffic home without children. He appears dog-friendly, but a meet and greet is required if you have a resident pup. Christopher needs an adopter who is truly experienced, patient, and ready to give him structure, consistency, and breathing room to decompress. He bridges the gap between sweet and strong, and he just needs a fair shot. Give him the chance he’s been waiting for. Click apply to start the adoption process.
