About Caulder

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Caulder is a gentle, resilient girl who is looking for a fresh start after coming from a neglectful environment. At about 2-3 years old and weighing around 63 lbs, she’s experienced a lot, but has so much love to give the right family. Having had little socialization in her early life, new things can be overwhelming for her, but she quickly warms up with patience and gentle introductions. Once she gets to know you, Caulder becomes incredibly affectionate and adores belly rubs and attention. She’s been friendly with other dogs she’s met and would thrive with a patient family committed to helping her learn basic commands and settle comfortably into home life. Due to her past, Caulder would do best with adopters who are willing to help her adjust and provide consistent support as she grows in confidence. At this time, adoptions must be completed in person, so be prepared to travel to the shelter. The shelter staff highly recommends a foster-to-adopt arrangement if you want to make sure the fit is right before committing, giving both you and Caulder a chance to get to know each other. Shelter staff devote themselves daily to giving every dog the best possible chance, and adopting Caulder not only changes her life, but gives another less-adoptable dog more time. Visiting the shelter, volunteering, or spreading the word are wonderful ways you can help, whether you adopt or not. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
