About Oscar
Meet Oscar! Oscar is a gentle 5-6 year-old Border Collie with a peaceful spirit who will quietly steal your heart. Rescued from a hoarding situation, he continues to build confidence every day, showing how resilient he can be. This medium-sized boy thrives in calm environments, enjoying quiet moments with his stuffed toys, or relaxing in his crate for some downtime. His favorite activities include long walks and lounging in the yard while you tend to your garden. Oscar is quite the observer, keeping an eye on local wildlife and enjoying serene outdoor experiences. He appreciates the company of other friendly, non-barky dogs, making him a good candidate for a home with another canine companion. Oscar is house-trained and crate-trained, and he walks nicely on a leash. He knows several commands, including "sit" and "touch," and looks to his humans for reassurance in uncertain situations. Loud noises or sudden movements can startle him, so a patient adopter in a quiet household would be ideal. Though still learning to trust physical affection, Oscar is making progress and showing his playful side more each day. He’s polite with newcomers and gets along well with children. Recently, Oscar had some dental work done and is feeling much better. With the right support and a little time, he will continue to shine. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a lot of love to give, Oscar may be the perfect fit for you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
