Champ is a 7 year old sweetheart who just loves to cuddle. This gentle boy may be a little shy when first meeting someone new, but once he knows you, he will reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Champ has spent his life surrounded by love and a busy family environment, including adults, children of all ages, frequent visitors, other dogs, and even a cat sibling. He enjoys the company of people and does well with dogs, cats, and children. He especially loves kids and enjoys playing and snuggling with them, though he would do best with older children who understand his gentle and sometimes cautious nature since very young babies and toddlers can sometimes make him nervous with their loud and/or unpredictable movements. Champs favorite thing in the world is being cozy with his people under a blanket. If he sees someone carrying a blanket, he is ready to join them immediately! His dream is to be a lap dog, and he truly believes he belongs right beside you. When he's not snuggling, you can find him relaxing in his bed or crate, which he considers his own little safe space. He is potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps comfortably in his crate at night. He enjoys coming and going from his crate throughout the day and is happy having a routine. Champ also loves adventures! He has been on car rides, road trips, and camping trips, and he happily hops into the car without getting carsick. While he may need a little encouragement initially getting his harness and leash on, once he's out walking, he enjoys his time exploring. Champ would be a wonderful fit for a family, a couple, or a single person. He isnt looking for anything complicated. He's simply looking for someone who will love him, let him snuggle close, and give him the forever home he deserves.
