About Pops
Pops is the definition of unique—from his big pointy ears to his wiggly little frame. He’s 5-6 years old and about the size you’d expect from a Chihuahua with a hint of Dachshund, but his personality defies all stereotypes. Initially, Pops keeps his distance and surveys his surroundings. Lean into his world gently and he morphs into your loyal follower, sidling beside you for TV time, tailing you about, or claiming a safe pocket of your bed. He isn’t clingy; comfort and calmness are what he craves. Social awkwardness runs deep in Pops, but that’s his charm. He’ll sidle up for a scratch then cast a dramatic glance as if surprised by the attention—don’t stop, though. He treasures little routines: getting lifted onto the sofa, sneaking snuggles, generally minding his own business. Pops takes well to other calm dogs and often perks up with canine friends around. He’s particular (loud metal bowls offend him, silicone and quiet is the way), and his eating patterns shift. But hand him a mellow environment and a few routines and he will thrive. Separation anxiety isn’t his style. Pops manages fine alone, is almost entirely house trained, and in public or the car, he keeps his cool. He’s recently had a dental and is now sporting a healthy, happy grin. Pops isn't interested in noisy, bustling homes or energetic young kids, so he needs an adult household that values quiet and quirks. Easygoing first-timers or patient, low-key dog lovers would get the best out of him. Unconventional, low-maintenance, and brimming with gentle oddity—Pops' subtle ways are easy to love and impossible to forget. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Pops
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pops, as a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, does best in calm, predictable indoor spaces. Apartments or quiet homes suit him, especially where the energy is mellow and the environment is not too loud.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A small yard or even regular walks suffice for Pops. His needs are modest and he doesn’t require large, active environments—just space for strolls and a safe spot to watch the world.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While some Chihuahua and Dachshund mixes can be good with kids, Pops himself is not a match for homes with young or highly energetic children. He prefers adult households who can give him respectful space.
