Hello!! My name is Rocky. I am a 2.5 year old Purebred Great Dane. I was dumped by my owner and Rhodie's Rescue saved me from the dangerous highway and fields I was roaming. My life hasn't been great, until now. I was very skinny and unhealthy and distrusting of humans...but now, since being in my foster home, I am at my best weight, healthy and super happy....so it's now time for me to find my forever family who will keep this way for life!! I am about 120 lbs of big, goofy and playful guy! I love being around my humans and I love to be hugged and kissed...I have the 'Great Dane lean' down to a tee!! I like to play fetch and when I get excited I do play bows and jumpy spins as best as I can! Like most Great Danes I have no idea of my size and I think I'm a lap dog...I'm still trying to figure out how to gracefully manuvear my big body around the house, so my tail may accidentally clear a table or leave a whip mark on your leg! My most favorite thing is really hanging out with my people, being loved on and eating!! I have pretty ice blue eyes with slight site deficits, but nothing bad. I see fine but can sometimes lose tracking with distance. I squint in the sun as it is very bright for my light eyes, so Rex specs would be a great help for me when I'm outside. Also my skin is very light and needs protection from the sun too...just like my human friends, the sun can be bad for my light pink skin. I am working on my leash skills and getting better, I'm also pretty good at staying close by off leash and have good recall. I am house trained....I do not like crates and panic in one, but I am fine in a kennel. I will do best with someone who is not away from home for long hours...A work from home or stay at home situation would be best for me. Did I mention I'm good with other dogs??!! No cat experience. For safety, children should be over 8 years of age due to my size and lack of exposure to children.
