About Maple

Maple’s story is one of resilience and second chances. At only 5 months old, this sweet Pit Bull Terrier puppy was found wandering the streets of Detroit, alone and uncertain about her future. Shortly after her rescue, Maple faced a serious challenge—she became ill with Parvovirus, a condition that can be critical for young puppies. But with her fighting spirit and the dedication of an incredible veterinary team, Maple overcame the odds. Now happy and healthy, she’s playful and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family. As a young pup, Maple is eager to learn about the world around her. Her new family will need to help her grow into the amazing dog she is meant to be. Continued training will be essential for her basic commands and house manners, along with plenty of patience and positive reinforcement. Because of her history, Maple would thrive as the only dog, or she may integrate well with a healthy, vaccinated dog. If there are cats, slow introductions will be necessary. A playful puppy at heart, Maple loves toys, especially chew toys to assist with those puppy habits. A home with children 8 years old and older is ideal for her. Maple has been through a lot and deserves a family to show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Could you be the one to give this brave little survivor the happily ever after she’s been waiting for? Ready to make a difference? Apply to adopt!
