About Louie

Louie is a 1.5-year-old pittie mix with a big personality and an easygoing, goofy spirit. He gets bursts of playful energy when you get home or meet someone new—expect zoomies and a tail that doesn’t quit. After those quick bursts, he’s all about lounging close to his people and soaking up the calm indoors. Louie’s got a thing for hanging out outside and will try (unsuccessfully and adorably) to catch bugs. He’s crate trained, housetrained, and has basic obedience skills down. Louie does very well with kids and enjoys the company of dogs over 30 pounds, but he can't be placed with smaller dogs due to an incident in his past. He’s also navigated life with a confident, dog-savvy cat without issue. He can get startled by odd things like floating bags or random objects, but it’s just another layer to his quirky charm. Louie’s looking for a home with structure and someone who understands what boundaries and routine mean for a dog like him. He’ll give you plenty of laughs and lots of affection in return. Louie is a Libra—no surprise he’s a social, playful companion who values harmony. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
