About Sally

Meet Sally! Sally is a 5-year-old pit bull terrier mix with a big personality and a love for every season—she’s just as happy romping in the snow as she is splashing at the beach. She’s spent over a year waiting for her home and still lights up at the chance to play fetch or take a long car ride. Sally is fully house trained and sleeps happily in her crate or snuggled up on the bed with a soft blanket. She thrives as the only dog in the home, though a similarly calm and well-matched dog might work out. Sally does not get along with cats. Children over eight are her speed—her energy and size are just a bit much for little ones. A fenced yard is a must for Sally; she comes alive during outdoor playtime and needs the freedom to run safely. She’s very food motivated, quick to learn, and already knows several commands. She loves cuddling, doesn’t mind a bath, and proves herself a dependable watch dog. Sally does need ongoing patience and guidance around leash and barrier reactivity, but she’s eager to please and very responsive to direction. She’d do well with a family that has plenty of time to spend with her, though she’s content on her own for stretches during the day. Sally’s birthdate makes her a Scorpio—no surprise for such a passionate and loyal companion. She’s one of a kind and waiting for someone who’ll give her the home she deserves.
