About Hazel

Meet Hazel! This 54-pound, 4-year-old Australian Kelpie/Australian Terrier mix is a delightful companion with a stunning bicolor coat of brown, tan, and white. Because she’s a bit shy at first, Hazel appreciates gentle voices and calm movements as she warms up quickly. She’s affectionate, intelligent, and eager to please, which makes her a great family dog. Hazel has good recall, does well being home alone, and while she does enjoy outdoor activities like walks, hikes, and playing fetch, she clearly doesn’t like the rain. Hazel has lived with toddlers and generally ignores them, though she appreciates a doggy friend who lets her take charge. Though she lived with cats and chased, there were no incidents, making her adaptable to different situations. An owner with mixed dog breed experience would be preferred. A securely fenced yard is essential to keep her safe and happy, and supervised outdoor time is recommended while she adjusts.
