About Angus
Meet Angus! At 2.5 years old (born August 10, 2023), he’s a 66-pound German Shepherd and Husky mix full of heart. Angus has a cheerful, playful energy and quickly wins over new volunteers with how affectionate and friendly he is. He handles walks with enthusiasm—sometimes pulling—but loves being outside, exploring trails and creeks. His intelligence and eagerness to learn shine through, especially when there are toys or a car ride involved; he loves to call shotgun. Angus is tidy, completely housebroken, and enjoys lounging either on a raised bed or in the shade after a romp outside. He has a big personality and a voice to match, often "singing" to anyone who’ll listen. Angus thrives in a home that can match his activity level and offer lots of outdoor play. He does well with other dogs, enjoys the dog park, and likes kids, though he’s best with children 13+ who understand energetic dogs. Due to his strong prey drive, he can’t be placed with cats. A secure fenced yard is a must to keep this curious boy safe and happy. Angus is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Fun fact: With a Leo sun sign, he’s as bold and loyal as they come. Ready for a new adventure with a happy, outdoorsy companion? Angus is waiting. Your new best friend is just one click away.
