About Iggy

Meet Iggy! This delightful 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing around 24 pounds, is currently in a caring foster home, not at the shelter. Iggy is a true charmer who leaves pawprints, hugs, and sometimes a tennis ball just out of reach. Originally adopted as a puppy, he’s finding himself back in need of a family due to changes in his previous owners' schedules. Iggy appreciates regular companionship and outdoor time for bathroom breaks, as he's known to have accidents if left alone for too long. Iggy's personality shines through as a world-class cuddler. You’ll often find him snuggling against your leg or curling up during cozy movie nights. He's famous for giving affectionate "hugs" to those he loves. When it’s playtime, he thoroughly enjoys fetch—just remember that he believes bringing back the ball 95% of the way is good enough! Having had professional training, Iggy knows several commands: "Sit, stay, heel, down, and spot" (which means go to your bed). He was also crate trained, and although it’s not his favorite place, he settles in once he understands it's time to stay. Iggy is well-adjusted in a family environment, having lived with children, cats, and even another large dog. He has helped foster kittens too, demonstrating his gentle nature. With a moderate energy level, Iggy balances play with relaxation, providing both fun and companionship. He’s neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you're ready to embrace a loyal companion with a quirky sense of humor, Iggy is waiting for you! Click apply to start the adoption process.
