About Klondike

What would you do for a Klondike? For this big oaf, all you really have to do is give him a chance. Klondike is a goofy, affectionate, 78-pound lap dog in his own mind—even though he's sturdy and strong, he wants to curl up with you. He’s a fan of getting the zoomies and charging around like a happy freight train, especially in a yard with space to run. Klondike lives with a foster family and has made solid progress with house manners, showing he’s eager to please and blending into daily household routines. This guy plays with enthusiasm and loves interaction, turning fetch and "keep away" into full-contact sports. He welcomes new people and is just as happy cuddled up for a nap as he is chasing after a tennis ball. At times, he’ll sneak away to snuggle solo on a guest bed or find a quiet nook with his toys. Though he’s gentle with young kids he meets, his size and boisterous play style make him better suited for older children. He’d do well with a tolerant dog companion, but might also shine as the only pet. If you like big mutts with blocky heads and big personalities, Klondike’s your guy. He’s fully housebroken, crate-trained, takes treats nicely, and already knows basic commands like sit, down, and touch. Klondike is estimated around 4 years old, loves belly scratches, and is always up for a new adventure—or just lounging in his favorite spot at home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
