About Sahara

Meet Sahara, a charming young Australian Shepherd from Bixby, OK. This sweet girl, just over a year old, was surrendered by her owner after spending most of her early life outdoors. Since joining the rescue, she has discovered the joys of indoor life, including couches, air conditioning, and endless love from her new family. Sahara can be a little shy in new situations and needs a moment to adjust. However, once she feels secure, her playful and affectionate personality shines bright. She's already mastered being potty trained, crate trained, and knows commands like sit and stay. While walking on a leash, she can be a bit enthusiastic typical of her breed, but she's intelligent and eager to learn. As an Australian Shepherd, Sahara has strong herding instincts and thrives with mental stimulation and physical exercise. She’ll do best in a home with children aged 13 and up. She is dog-friendly and would love a companion who can keep up with her playful spirit. After a day of activity, she turns into the perfect cuddle buddy, ready to soak up affection. With a patient family to guide her, Sahara is set to be a wonderful lifelong friend. Click apply to start the adoption process.
