About Gretchen

💜🐾 Meet Gretchen 🐾💜 Some dogs are looking for adventure. Some are looking for a fresh start. And some, like Gretchen, are simply looking for a soft place to land. At 18 years old, this French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix has certainly earned her retirement. After years as a cherished companion, Gretchen found herself at the shelter when her owner lost their housing. Now, she's hoping for one more chapter filled with comfort, kindness, and love. Gretchen seeks a very special hospice home to spend her remaining years. She isn't asking for much - just a sunny spot to nap, a few leisurely strolls, soft chin scratches, and a cozy bed. Most importantly, she hopes to find someone who understands the value of an old dog. Despite her age, Gretchen still enjoys walks and appreciates the little things in life. She is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs. As with many senior dogs, Gretchen comes with some medical considerations. Her teeth need care, she has a cherry eye, and while she will likely need ongoing medical support as she ages, she is not on any medications at this time. Welcoming a hospice senior is a meaningful gift. For the right person, it can bring immense joy and fulfillment. Gretchen simply needs a loving home that will make her remaining time safe, comfortable, and filled with love. If you’ve ever thought about giving a senior dog a peaceful retirement, Gretchen is waiting. 💜 What are you waiting for? Apply today!
