Tig is a charming adult French Bulldog who found his way to our rescue as a stray, and now he's ready to find the loving family he deserves. He's the quintessential Frenchie: friendly, social, and full of personality. With his affectionate nature, he enjoys the company of everyone, including children, cats, and other dogs. Tig has received basic obedience training, knows several commands, and is both potty and crate trained—though he’s proven to be trustworthy enough that crating is often unnecessary. He's not a frequent barker, only voicing his opinions when crated. Since joining us, Tig has undergone extensive veterinary care for several health issues discovered upon his arrival. He had surgery to correct severe cherry eye, received treatment for a corneal ulcer, and underwent BOAS surgery for improved breathing. Tig has been neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and thoroughly evaluated by our vet team. His eye is healing well with treatment, and he’s recovering beautifully. Potential adopters should be aware of the breed’s unique health considerations. While Tig currently shows no signs of allergies or breathing issues, French Bulldogs can face these challenges as they age. He thrives on family involvement and requires careful monitoring in warm climates. A securely fenced yard is essential as he’s been known to wander if given the chance. There’s a slight quirk to Tig; he can be a bit of a humper with other dogs. However, with his recent neutering, we anticipate this behavior will decrease. He’s been a wonderful guest in his foster home, getting along well with all the other pets. A veterinary reference and home check will be necessary for interested adopters.
