About Inkling
Inkling is an 8-month-old female Newfoundland, weighing around 80 pounds, who embodies hope and resilience. Her journey began at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center where she was brought in for what was thought to be a severe shoulder fracture. Fortunately, Healing Hearts Rescue intervened, giving her a second chance that led to orthopedic surgery. Despite her challenging medical history, she has a gentle and affectionate nature that won over her caretakers immediately. Inkling thrives in the company of both people and other dogs. She's friendly and greets everyone with a wagging tail, making her well-suited to homes with children. She's fully house trained and crate trained, and has a playful spirit—especially when around her four-legged friends. Water is one of her favorite things, and she'd love nothing more than to dive right in! While Inkling’s recovery involves some ongoing medical complications, her future family will find her to be a loving companion who will touch their hearts. Potential adopters should be prepared for her special care needs. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
