About Pepper

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet the fabulous Pepper! This delightful 4-month-old Newfoundland puppy is already a charming 45 lbs of pure potential, destined to grow into a big, fluffy companion. She entered rescue through no fault of her own and carries a touch of shyness, sometimes greeting new faces with a bark or two. With patient understanding and encouragement, Pepper is sure to blossom into a loving and confident member of the family. Pepper enjoys playtime but prefers her space respected, so a calm, older canine friend would be the perfect mentor for her. She has experience living with small children who know how to be gentle and calm, making her a lovely prospect for families who teach kindness and patience. Pepper has also lived with cats—while she enjoys chasing them, it’s all in good-natured fun! House-training is a work in progress for this social girl, but she’s already keeping her crate clean during overnight sleeps and while her foster family is away. If you have a kind heart and a welcoming home, Pepper promises endless joy and new adventures as she embarks on her journey from shyness to confidence. Her sun sign is Gemini, so you’ll find she’s clever and responsive to her environment—a wonderful match for anyone who appreciates a playful and affectionate canine companion.
