After spending her early life neglected and isolated, Abby has slowly learned to embrace routine, comfort, and affection in her foster home. Her foster mom lovingly calls her the 'Little Cave Dragon,' as Abby treasures her crate and likes to collect toys within her personal sanctuary. She thrives on predictability and would do best in a home with regular routines and minimal unexpected visitors. Abby is selective with canine friends; she prefers dogs who respect her space, though she does enjoy the company of her foster sibling Gia and could possibly be adopted as a pair. She’s now easily redirected from cats, displaying curiosity without fixation. Abby’s not overly cuddly yet, but she enjoys belly rubs on her own terms and shows affection in her unique way. As a smaller Newfoundland, she could enjoy outdoor adventures like hiking and swimming so long as these are introduced gradually and with consistent structure. A fenced yard at least four feet high is essential for her safety and enjoyment. Abby does have seasonal allergies managed with daily medication.
