About Sammie
Meet Sammie! Sammie is an adorable 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Lab mix who weighs around 50 pounds. With one ear up and one ear down, she radiates sweetness and affection that can melt any heart. This velcro dog loves to be close to her humans and is happiest when she’s by your side. A quick learner, Sammie walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys treats, and thrives on pleasing her family. Despite being a young dog, she is remarkably calm and mellow. She hasn't barked during her time with her foster mom and does not jump or nip at all. Initially shy with new people, it doesn’t take long for her affectionate personality to shine through. Sammie is fantastic with children and other dogs, and she's even gentle with free-range chickens, suggesting she’d likely get along with cats too. Fully house-trained, she loves exploring the backyard for a few minutes, but prefers to settle close to her people for kisses and cuddles. While she's not particularly interested in toys, she can be trusted to stay calm and relaxed around the house or nap comfortably on the couch. Sammie's also done well when crated. If you're looking for a gentle, family-friendly companion to follow you around and shower you with love, Sammie could be the perfect match. Currently, Sammie is being fostered in Bay Shore, NY, and her adoption fee is $500. Start your journey together! Apply now.
