About Faye

Faye and her sister Raven spent months living in the woods before Animal Control brought them in. Early on, the two huddled quietly, wanting nothing to do with people. Staff worked steadily with patience and got Faye to come out of her shell. Now, she greets people she knows with enthusiasm, enjoys attention, and has mastered walking on a leash, going up steps, and a few simple commands. Faye still gets nervous around strangers, but if you come bearing treats and a gentle voice, she starts to feel more comfortable. Progress with her is slow but rewarding. She needs a home that already has another well-mannered dog, and any children should be older and understanding of her boundaries. She’s fine with other dogs but does not do well with cats. Crate training and housebreaking are still works in progress, so patience and a gentle schedule are important. Faye has already worked through a lot—she just needs someone who will keep helping her move forward. Click apply to start the adoption process.
