Meet Buttercup As Sweet As, a 2-year-old yellow lab mix with a heart as big as her goofy smile. After coming from a chaotic home in Texas, she's thriving in her new environment, getting the stability, love, and guidance she's always deserved. Buttercup is an affectionate girl who thinks she’s a lap dog. She adores people and enjoys attention, happily walking by your side as if she’s been waiting her whole life for someone to call her own. She's wonderful with kids and has a playful, eager-to-please personality that draws everyone to her. Currently in a board-and-train program in NJ, she’s making tremendous progress with her manners and confidence, mastering commands like sit, stay, down, and leash walking. Her trainers are proud of her eye contact and focus, and she's learning to sit politely at doors and walk calmly past distractions. While she still gets excited around other dogs, she’s showing improvement with guidance. Initially weighing around 40 lbs, Buttercup is still filling out and should ideally reach 50-55 lbs. She would do best as the only dog while she builds her confidence and sharpens her social skills.
