About Chip
Chip is a delightful 7-year-old mixed breed Rottweiler who was surrendered when his Coast Guard family couldn't relocate with him. He’s a friendly boy who loves being around people and brings joy with his playful nature. Chip is easy to harness and walks well on a leash. He enjoys chasing toys in the yard, but his favorite pastime is splashing around in the baby pool. Watching him run into the pool, splash a bit, and then lay down to cool off is sure to bring a smile. Having previously lived with cats and small children, Chip gets along well with both. He’s also social with dogs and enjoys car rides. His owner reported that he knows commands like sit, wait, and give paw, showcasing his obedient side. Chip would make a wonderful addition to any active family looking for a loyal companion to keep them entertained. The shelter operates on an appointment-only basis, so potential adopters are encouraged to fill out an application prior to scheduling a meeting. The staff is accommodating and welcomes inquiries.
