About Travis
Travis is 75 pounds of goofy charm and affection. At 3 years old, this pittie/Rottweiler mix brings pure, joyful energy to every room. Saved at the last minute, he’s quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite thanks to his sweet personality and knack for comedy—think clumsy zoomies, curious sniffs everywhere, and a willingness to be the center of attention. He’s the sort of dog that makes himself at home almost instantly. Travis is housebroken and crate trained, settling down calmly when needed. He’s affectionate and loves leaning in for hugs or belly rubs, but he’s also content to chew a bone or entertain himself with toys. He already knows basic commands like sit, down, and “in your crate.” He’s pretty good on a leash, though squirrels remain enticing targets now and then. With a medium-to-high energy level, he thrives with a fenced yard or daily long walks. He’s eager for car rides—even if he thinks laps are for riding, not just sitting! Travis does well with older kids but can be a bit excitable with very young ones. He gets along with other dogs but isn’t suited for homes with cats. If you’re looking for a loyal, big-hearted companion who brings genuine personality, Travis could be a great fit. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
