About Carrie
Meet Carrie, an energetic 11-week-old female Black Lab Mix on a quest for her forever home. Hailing from Arkansas, Carrie and her littermates were surrendered to a local rescue and welcomed into Brookline. Her dad appears to be a Black Lab, while mom is likely a Lab mix, giving Carrie her charming white markings. Named after Sally Field's character in the classic movie "Smokey and the Bandit," Carrie stands out as the smallest and mightiest pup in her litter. Don't let her petite size fool you—she lets everyone know she is in charge! Full of puppy antics—chewing, climbing, and exploring—she needs close supervision and a crate when unsupervised. Her housebreaking journey is underway, requiring frequent trips outside. Carrie cozies up at night in a crate with her brother, Bandit, and they settle down quietly until morning. Though she may whine if crated alone, she will adapt in no time. Outside, Carrie is an avid explorer, often squeezing through fences to chase butterflies or run with her brother. Currently, she is undergoing treatment for worms, but she is far too busy being playful to let that slow her down. Around people, Carrie is a joy—easy to handle and doesn’t mind having her ears, teeth, and paws checked. This little peanut is always ready for a wrestling match with her brother or a playdate with larger dogs. With her big personality and affectionate nature, you'll quickly fall in love with Carrie. If you're looking for a spirited addition to your family, Carrie's the one!
