About Wilson

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet Wilson #2, an incredibly handsome 4-year-old neutered male fox-red Labrador—a true “Lab’s Lab” and your ideal companion. Wilson is affectionate, playful, and confident with a contagious zest for life. He adores Frisbee fetch and has mastered the art of carrying one Kong Frisbee while retrieving another—it's quite the sight to see! When not in hot pursuit of his favorite toy, Wilson loves lounging in the sunshine, enjoying sticks, or snuggling with his person whether inside or out. After an active day, he’s the perfect buddy for some cozy TV time on the couch or sprawled out on a comfy dog bed. Highly intelligent and eager to please, Wilson thrives on routine and brings all the classic Labrador charm and energy into the home. He’s attentive, smart, and always ready to join in on whatever fun comes his way. Wilson does have some special considerations due to a Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (FCE) he experienced in March 2023, resulting in reduced sensation in his left hind leg. He can handle a few stairs, but it’s essential that he lives in a single-story home to avoid frequent flights or jumping. His new family should monitor his activity—he loves Frisbee so much, it’s easy for him to overdo it! Frisbee play sessions are currently limited to about 15 minutes, three to four times per day. Wilson used a Help 'em Up Harness after his FCE and during rehab, which may be helpful for his future comfort. He has a loving and easy-going personality and is well-adjusted to life with other dogs, enjoying regular playdates and social time at boarding. Although he hasn’t lived with children, he’s always shown gentle curiosity during neighborhood encounters. Potential adopters with small children or those unsteady on their feet should be aware of his enthusiastic Labrador energy. Wilson is medically stable—his environmental allergies are managed with a daily Apoquel and he enjoys a nutritious salmon-based kibble. He’s calm in the car, great at the vet, and simply a joy to have as a companion. His current family is making the selfless choice to rehome out of deep care for his long-term happiness and well-being. If you can offer a single-story home, a caring routine, and plenty of Frisbee time, Wilson #2 could be the best addition to your family. He deserves an attentive home where he’ll be cherished for all he brings. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
