His temperament is affectionate and playful, and he generally gets along well with other dogs and children.

Wilson is a fox-red Labrador with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s about four years old, neutered, and truly lives up to the Labrador reputation: he’s affectionate, playful, and wants nothing more than to be your loyal companion. His favorite pastime is playing Frisbee, where he impressively manages to carry two at once, and he takes just as much joy in basking in the sunshine or curling up close for cuddles. When the day winds down, Wilson loves lounging on the couch (if permitted) or a comfy dog bed, always within arm’s reach of his human. Intelligent and eager to please, Wilson thrives on routine and always aims to do right by his people. He’s a great match for anyone seeking energy balanced by tenderness. His health needs are unique. Following an FCE (a type of spinal cord event) in 2023, he lives with some reduced feeling in his left back leg. He can handle stairs, but repeated flights and big jumps are out—a home with few or no stairs is best. He’ll need an adopter committed to keeping an active but mindful lifestyle, so he doesn’t overdo it chasing his beloved Frisbee or tagging along on adventures. He gets along nicely with other dogs, enjoys supervised playdates, and is calm and friendly with children, though his size and enthusiasm could be a lot for those who are unsteady on their feet. With allergies managed by daily medication and special food, Wilson is overall a healthy, happy Labrador with excellent manners at home, in the car, and at the vet. He comes from a place of deep love, and his next chapter should be marked by the same thoughtful care. Wilson is searching for a single-story home, a calm but active routine, and a family ready for the joy (and occasional chaos) of life with a Labrador who truly adores his people.
