About Dahlia
Meet Dahlia, a Black Lab mix with a huge heart and bright puppy energy. At about a year old, she’s always up for an adventure, a cuddle, or making new friends. Dahlia is naturally sweet-natured, eager to learn, and loves being around people and other animals. She gets along well with both dogs and cats, and she’s friendly toward children. Her start wasn’t easy—she raised her puppies alone under a house and protected them until rescue stepped in. Her pups found homes, and just moments before she would’ve been lost to shelter time limits, a foster stepped up, giving Dahlia her second chance. Now safe in Houston, she’s thriving and more than ready for a forever family. Dahlia adapts well to routine and needs a home where she won’t be alone for long stretches—she blossoms with company. She loves toys, enrichments, and outdoor zoomies, and she’s house trained using a doggy door. Leash skills and crate training are in progress, and she’s motivated by engagement and play. She’s still young, so patience and consistency will help her learn those last puppy lessons. Fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, Dahlia is ready to find a family excited to continue her journey. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
