She is missing one eye, but this does not require any special care and does not impact her daily life.
About Leeah
Leeah’s story is about second chances and a gentle resilience that shines through. She’s about 6 years old and weighs around 45 pounds, with a golden coat and one eye, which doesn’t affect her at all—she lives just like any other happy, self-sufficient dog. After being rescued from a shelter over a year ago, Leeah spent cherished time with a loving family. They are heartbroken to let her go due to a cross-country move and can only hope she finds a home equally as kind. Her foster calls her a dream: part adventure buddy, part couch potato. Leeah fits easily into home life—she’s fully kennel trained and can be trusted unkenneled when left alone. She greets meal times with toe-tapping joy and is known for keeping beds warm. She’s wonderful in the car, does well with baths and vet visits, and even enjoys doggy daycare and overnight stays. Her leash manners can be strong at first, but she settles in once the initial excitement passes. She’ll thrive with a yard for sunbathing and short bursts of zoomies, but most of all, she just wants a cozy couch and people who will love her. Leeah gets along beautifully with children, cats, and dogs (with appropriate introductions). Her personality is sweet and gentle, making her a reliable companion whether at home or out on a walk.
