About Poppy

Meet Poppy, a striking American Staffordshire Terrier and German Shepherd mix in Olympia, WA. She has a sleek short coat with glowing shades of yellow, tan, and fawn—a head-turner, but it’s her affectionate, sunny personality that people remember. Poppy came to rescue from a tough start, raising her pups with patience after being found on the Yakima Reservation. Now, with her puppies adopted, she’s looking for a family of her own. She’s smart, athletic, and loyal—playful when you want to move, gentle when it's time to relax. Her favorite thing in the world is a car ride, but she’ll happily settle for a cuddle or a belly rub. While she greets new people with a goofy grin and plenty of kisses, she does better as the only dog in the house and needs a home without cats. Kids 12 and up are fine, thanks to her size and energy. Poppy is house-trained, spayed, and her shots are current. She’s still gaining confidence around other dogs and busy environments, so she’ll need an adopter willing to build her trust and reinforce positive habits. A 5ft+ fenced yard is required. If you want a loving, funny, and active companion ready for both exploring and couch time, Poppy’s all in. Ready to meet her? Her tail is already wagging just thinking about it.
