About Sky
Sky is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who wears his heart on his sleeve and is always ready for affection. After being surrendered in Puerto Rico for being "too big," he settled comfortably into foster care and quickly proved himself a loving, loyal companion. Sky adapts fast—he’ll roll over for belly rubs, empty the toy box, and check out every corner of the house with playful curiosity. He shadows his people from room to room and never misses a chance for a car ride, snoozing peacefully even during long trips. Children seem to bring out Sky’s best—he’ll seek them out for play and connection. He’s working on his basics like “sit” and “stay,” especially at walk time or before meals. Walks and adventures are favorites, and while a fenced yard would be ideal, a dedicated, active owner will keep him happy. Sky’s been on allergy medication, but he’s improved steadily and will likely be off them soon; his rescue will sponsor the pills as long as needed. He doesn’t require any special diet or care. Sky is potty trained and gets along with smaller dogs or calm companions, but a quiet home or a gentle friend suits him best. With cats, introductions should be slow, especially if they’re excitable. Sky just wants someone to advocate for him, offer the stability he deserves, and embrace his playful, loving nature. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
