About Yoshi Baloo
Yoshi Baloo will be arriving in New England soon, and you won't pay extra for his safe ride north. This big guy is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix, tipping the scales at about 100 pounds. Surrendered alongside his brother in Tennessee, what Yoshi lacks in showy tricks, he makes up for with loyalty, steadiness, and that gentle giant energy you want in a family dog. He’s especially patient with kids—even little ones—and his soft, watcher vibe comes out most around his people. Friends describe him as a teddy bear, and while he’ll bark now and then, it comes with the guardian breed territory. Yoshi enjoys the company of other dogs, greets strangers calmly, and listens well, especially if snacks are in play. He’s still new to cats, so a careful intro is key. He handles the leash well, does just fine in a crate, and appears to be house-trained. Chickens, however, should keep their distance; Yoshi can’t resist a chase. On the medical side, he’s being treated for Ehrlichiosis with a 30-day course of antibiotics and otherwise seems to bounce back quickly. Vaccinations are current, and he’s neutered. Training is required, as with all dogs from this rescue. You’ll need to talk with his southern foster to get a sense of his daily rhythm, but he’s shown himself to be ready for a home that wants a calm, loving, oversized companion. Everyday is better with Yoshi! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
