About Arizona
Arizona is a 3-year-old American Foxhound/Great Pyrenees mix who’s bursting with charm and personality. Found pregnant and stray in Mississippi, she’s starting fresh in New England soon. Arizona is all about lounging with her people after a walk—she’ll happily shadow you from room to room, hoping to grab a spot nearby. She’s full of sweetness, quick with a wag, and has a knack for making even strangers smile. Arizona prefers to be the only dog in the home. While she's lived with other dogs before, she likes having her own space and will sometimes bark at neighbors through the fence. She handles a leash well (though she can get a bit eager at first) and enjoys long walks with lots to explore. At night, she’s content to settle into her crate. Arizona doesn’t have experience with kids or cats yet, so introductions should be slow and patient. She’s still learning proper potty habits, so her new family should be ready to help her along—she pays back any patience with plenty of affection. Arizona is spayed and fully vaccinated. She’ll thrive with a gentle, steady routine and continued training. Give this girl a couch, a kind heart, and some time, and she’ll give you devotion in return. They are waiting with paws crossed! How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Arizona's mix benefits from a secure yard or access to larger outdoor spaces for regular walks and exercise. She enjoys stretching her legs but doesn’t require acres—daily strolls and time outside will make her happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Arizona has not had direct experience with kids, so careful, gradual introductions are best. Both of her mix's backgrounds can be gentle and patient, but supervision is important until she settles in.
