About Wallaby Marsupial
Wallaby catches your attention right away—she looks almost like a shrunken German Shepherd puppy, but there’s much more to her story than meets the eye. She arrived in rough shape, severely malnourished at just 8 months old and unable to walk normally. Wallaby’s early nutrition deprivation led to extreme bone damage, stunted growth, and angular limb deformities that give her an almost ballerina-like way of moving. Yet for all she went through, Wallaby’s spirit hasn’t dimmed. With careful veterinary care, nutrition, and a lot of patience, she’s gaining strength and making visible progress. She now weighs a proud 12 pounds and continues to heal, needing ongoing support as she grows stronger. Gentle, affectionate, and quiet, Wallaby adores people and genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs. She greets everyone as a friend and delights in new experiences, toys, and affection. She’s house trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. Despite her small size and physical limitations, she adapts and doesn’t let anything hold her back. Currently, Wallaby remains under long-term veterinary care and isn’t available for adoption yet, but she continues to thrive. What she lacks in stature, she makes up for with heart. She’s an example of resilience and sweetness, prancing forward with hope for her future. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
