About Donna
Donna, also known as Madonna, is a striking brindle German Shepherd mix looking for her forever home in Concord, CA. She was saved from a euthanasia list and has truly blossomed since her rescue. Smart and eager to please, Donna is both house-trained and crate-trained, and she’s especially motivated by treats, making her a joy to train for anyone who loves enrichment work. Donna enjoys snuggling up for affection, often seeking out your lap for a moment of comfort. Even with her loving, gentle side, she has plenty of energy and is happiest when out running, hiking, or going for car rides. Despite her high spirits, she has made impressive progress with training and structure—she now walks calmly next to other dogs, though she’s most comfortable as the only pet. Donna has gotten along well with older children (ages 7–12) and seems to relish being included in family life. She can be nervous around loud noises or new sights but warms up quickly with gentle reassurance. With her current family preparing to move, Donna urgently needs a new place to land so she won’t end up in a kennel setting. If you’re searching for a loyal, adventurous friend who will brighten every day, Donna is ready to meet you. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
