About Ricky
Ricky is about a year old and weighs 31 lbs. He’s a medium-sized Husky mix with a laid-back, gentle energy. Ricky has grown more affectionate and outgoing during his time in foster, shifting from a reserved observer to a pup who loves pats and running around with his foster dog siblings. He’s not much for toys but will shadow his family and gladly accept treats—always taken from your hand as gently as you’d hope. Ricky’s completely house trained, crate trained, and walks politely on a leash. He doesn’t mind car rides either. Since Ricky has a tendency to wander, he needs either a secure fenced yard or a dedicated commitment to leash use. He lives with cats and dogs in his foster home and gets along well with all of them; in fact, he requires another confident dog in the home to help him settle in and feel safe. Children haven’t been officially tested, but he’d likely do well with kids who treat him politely. Ricky’s thick, fluffy coat needs regular grooming, but he tolerates brushing, especially if treats are involved. He’s still polishing up his obedience cues, but his food drive makes training straightforward. Ricky can’t wait to meet his match. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
