About Nugget
Nugget is a striking red and white Siberian Husky mix who has been through a lot in her four years but still adores people and greets you with those vivid blue eyes. She was rescued from a euthanasia list after time spent bouncing between shelters, but it’s clear she once had a loving home—she thrives on attention, belly rubs, and being near her people. Nugget is crate and house trained, knows several commands, and has been consistently working on her manners. Her medium energy levels make her well-suited for someone looking for an active companion but not a marathon runner. She will want a home where structure and consistency are the norm. Meeting new people is a friendly affair for Nugget, but she startles easily and needs a home without young children; anyone in the house should be at least 12. She’s lived peacefully with a foster dog brother and handled playdates well, though she’s selective and takes time to feel safe with new canine companions. She’d do best as an only dog or with a calm, confident dog with a low-key personality. Nugget’s resource guarding has improved, but an experienced owner will help her continue this progress. She’ll tell you if breakfast is late and has plenty of husky quirks, including the occasional noisy protest. Her standard husky coat requires regular weekly brushing, and a fenced yard or tie-out will do—she’s shown no interest in escaping. Born June 11, Nugget is a comforting Gemini who will keep you on your toes. She’s ready to be someone's devoted sidekick and will return your loyalty tenfold. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
