AvailableElmer is a medium-sized, mixed breed dachshund puppy living in New Orleans, LA. He’s a six-month-old neutered male, housebroken, and up to date on vaccinations.
About Elmer
Elmer is a sweet, gentle boy who bonds closely with his people and everyone he meets. He starts off a bit shy, but once he feels comfortable, he’ll happily stick by your side and become your loyal little shadow. Elmer is very much a velcro dog; his devotion shines once you earn his trust. Housebroken and crate trained, Elmer knows how to signal when he needs to go out, usually by running to the door and spinning in circles. He adapts to new routines with a little patience. At night, he sleeps quietly in his crate and never causes trouble while you’re sleeping or away. Elmer loves his walks and prefers to explore the world one scent at a time. He’s curious and well-behaved on leash, enjoying every new smell as he strolls. He limits his chewing to toys and keeps out of mischief around the house. Bright and eager, Elmer’s treat motivation makes him a quick learner who enjoys training sessions. He gets along well with other dogs, and because of his cautious nature, he’d love the companionship of a friendly resident dog to help boost his confidence. This affectionate pup also does well with cats and children. If you’re searching for a loyal, loving puppy who’ll make a devoted companion, Elmer could be the missing piece of your family.
