Meet our newest senior friend Coco! Miss Coco is a 10 year old Shih Tzu surrendered because her owners were moving and unable to take her. She’s a sweet gentle soul but still has a young playful side to her- loves playing tug of war and chasing squeaky toys, and she prances and skips like a little wind up toy on her walks. She’s fine with other sweet gentle-souled little dogs, a bit needy and anxious and likes to be around her people. She has some early kidney disease and can be a bit of a picky eater so we are still figuring out her dietary preferences and getting her into a routine. She was scared and stoic at first and her expressions make her look grumpy but she’s not at all and is a really sweet happy little companion who settles in quickly.
