About Greta The Gentle
Greta The Gentle is a 5-month-old, medium-sized mix of German Shepherd and Beagle with a short brown and golden coat. She and her brother were left at a construction site in Puerto Rico, where loud noises and chaos drove them to hide in a storage container until rescuers stepped in. Greta remains a little wary, but beneath her cautious exterior, she's genuinely sweet and gentle, craving the comfort and reassurance she never got during her fearful early days. Greta warms up with belly rubs and will quietly soak up affection from those she trusts. She's starting to show more of her affectionate, loving personality, but will need patience and consistent kindness to build her confidence further. She’s still a puppy, untrained and a bit shy with other dogs right now, and would do best with an adopter who understands her gentle nature and her need for a nurturing environment. Greta is ready for a calm home where she can finally relax, learn, and trust at her own pace. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
