About Gunner Big Ears

Meet Gunner, a 5-month-old with some of the biggest, silliest ears you’ll see. He weighs just under 22 lbs and has a soft golden and chocolate coat with a short, tidy look. Gunner came out of a tough situation—he was abandoned at a noisy construction site in Puerto Rico, where he hid for safety until rescuers stepped in. That rough beginning left him a little shy when meeting new people or environments, but it’s a gentle sort of caution. Most of the time, he wants to be close, soaking up belly rubs and giving in to any chance to snuggle. He’s great with other dogs, does well with cats, and is gentle around children. Gunner does have a tiny club foot, but it’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t slow him down at all—if anything, his wobbly salsa walk just adds to his charm. He hasn’t mastered house training just yet, so patience and encouragement are needed. His top needs are kindness, trust, and stability, including a family who’ll let him build his confidence at his own pace. Now’s his chance to know real puppyhood, love, and security.
