Maybel — short for Maybelline — is a stunning 10-month-old girl with the most striking blue eyes that look like she’s wearing perfect eyeliner all the time. At around 50 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet, affectionate companionship. She’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already doing wonderfully with potty training and leash training. Maybel is great with other dogs and has such a loving, gentle personality once she feels safe and comfortable. Like many rescue dogs, she can be a little hesitant around men at first, but with patience and kindness she quickly begins to open up and show her sweet, goofy side. Maybel is looking for a family that will continue helping her build confidence and show her that the world can be a safe, loving place. In return, she’ll give endless loyalty, cuddles, and those unforgettable blue-eyed stares. Maybe is in Puerto Rico and will be transported up to the states as soon as a foster opens up or adoptive home is found.
