About Jet
Jet landed in rescue because his prior family felt they couldn't keep up with his energy and care needs. At around 7 months old, Jet is a goldendoodle and German shorthaired pointer mix, but he takes after the goldendoodle in looks and personality. He’s happiest when wet—always drawn to water, whether it’s the garden hose, a pool, or a trip to the beach. He's energetic and playful, loves romping with other dogs, and is friendly with kids, although his enthusiasm can get a bit rambunctious. With correction, he settles down quickly. Jet isn’t fully housebroken yet but is crate trained, even if he’s not thrilled about it. Chewing is a passion, so durable toys are a must. Jet’s medical history is complex. When he was neutered, the vet found he was cryptorchid—a retained testicle—with abnormally small testicles and unusual fluid present, possibly indicating an ectopic ureter or other rare condition. The vet advises a scan to clarify his needs, and Jet may require future surgery. Right now, this doesn’t slow him down. He’s eating well, staying active, and showing no outward distress, but he needs an adopter willing to monitor his health and commit to his ongoing vet care. If you’re near Chiefland, FL and want to give Jet a loving home, he’s ready for a chance at a full, happy life. Fun fact: Jet is a Scorpio, sometimes known for loyalty and playfulness.
