About Howdy

Howdy is a bouncy, 10-week-old Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix, born in Texas after his mom was rescued from a tough start. He's a playful, social puppy who loves making friends—he does great with dogs, cats, and kids, and lights up any room with his happy puppy energy. Howdy enjoys romping in the yard with his foster siblings just as much as he loves curling up in a welcoming lap for snuggles and belly rubs. At around 15 pounds right now, Howdy has room to grow and is likely to become a medium to large dog. He’s too young to be neutered yet, so he'll go home on a neuter contract with his new family handling the procedure down the line. House training and crate training are both still in progress. His foster reports that he’s picking things up quickly—so patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will go a long way. He’d thrive with another dog in the household, though it’s not required, and a fully fenced yard or an active lifestyle would help him burn off that classic puppy energy. Puppy classes are strongly encouraged to help Howdy get the best start. Howdy’s all about meeting new people and adapting fast. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
