About Denver
Denver is a young, tricolor mixed-breed pit bull terrier with a happy, playful spirit despite having already lost one eye as a puppy. He’s bounced back quickly and doesn’t allow anything to slow him down. Potty training is going well, with accidents in the house now few and far between. Denver enjoys roughhousing with resident dogs and understands corrections, making him a good candidate for a home with another friendly canine companion. While he can be a little mouthy during play—like most young puppies—he’s gentle and responsive with small children if play is supervised. He sometimes acts shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly, transforming into an affectionate shadow who’s eager to snuggle and play. Denver loves tug-of-war, takes treats very gently, and is learning to be more comfortable in the car. Leash walks are a work in progress, so he’ll need patience as he gains confidence outside. He’s a snuggle bug with a resilient heart, looking for a family who’ll help him keep growing into a wonderful adult dog. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
