About Carol Ann

Carol Ann is loving, smart, and shows real resilience. She arrived at the sanctuary after animal control picked her up as a stray; nobody ever claimed her. Her past is a bit of a mystery, but it's clear she's raised more than one litter. Even with everything she's faced, Carol Ann stands out as one of the friendliest dogs at the sanctuary. She adores people—including children—and has gotten along well with other dogs here. For now, a cat-free home is best. Carol Ann doesn't really chase cats, but she’s not one to back down if they take a swipe at her. She shines on long hikes, enjoys riding in the truck, and loves a good food puzzle. Snuggling is a specialty—she’ll happily curl up next to you on the couch. Carol Ann handles a leash well and keeps up on adventures. Though she does fine when left alone, she's happiest around people and prefers not to be left for long stretches. With her calm and confident personality, she'd likely do well accompanying you to work. Estimated to be about 4–5 years old, she’s a gentle, sweet companion who’s ready for her next chapter.
