About Louie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Louie, a charming 6-month-old blue brindle Pitbull Terrier mix whose resilience shines through after a tough start in life. Found at only four months old in rough shape, Louie battled a severe nutritional deficiency impacting his front legs. Thanks to excellent care, nutrition, supplements, and swim therapy (he absolutely loves the water!), his front legs have returned to normal and he is now thriving in a loving foster environment. Louie delights in learning and has already graduated from an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program. Highly food-motivated, he makes training rewarding for both him and his handler. He is crate trained, working on his housebreaking, and is a pleasure to walk thanks to his non-reactive leash manners. Louie’s strength and intelligence make him a great fit for a dedicated adopter willing to continue his positive training journey. This energetic puppy seeks a home where he can be the focus, as he tends to chase cats and can play too rough with other dogs, lacking the ability to read canine social cues. Louie thrives on walks, outdoor play, and any new adventure–he is outgoing, fearless, and loves exploring. After a good workout or some mental stimulation, Louie becomes a lovable snuggler, eager to rest close to his people. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, including rabies, bordetella, distemper, lepto, and lyme vaccines, plus up-to-date flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To help his new family, a six-week Manners & More obedience class will be donated to his adopter. Upon adoption, a home meet & greet and a vet reference are required. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
