About Dory
Dory and her companion Luther are the kind of pair who fill a house with warmth and laughter. Expect plenty of affectionate momentsāboth love cuddles, belly rubs, and are rarely far from each other's side. Dory lights up when she finds a new toy, trotting around in a little victory parade. Luther, the goofy mischief-maker, sometimes can't resist nabbing snacks when he thinks no one is looking. Their early lives were rough, coming out of a traumatic situation that left both dogs deeply shaken. Over time, they've learned to love and trust people. Dory, in particular, still struggles around men and needs a gentle, patient approach to help her gain confidence. With Luther as her steadfast anchor, she feels braverāheās the calming presence she leans on in new situations. They absolutely must stay together. At seven years old, Dory is a small beagle weighing about 25 lbs. She needs an adult-only, very calm homeāno kids under 16, no busy social scenes. A secure and quiet yard is a must, as too much commotion is overwhelming for her. The commitment is worth it: with patience and care, these two will return that investment tenfold in loyalty and affection. Click apply to start the adoption process.
