About Deacon
Deacon is a charming tiny beagle who has captured our hearts. At around 4 years old, he weighs just 19 pounds and boasts those stunning velvety ears that everyone notices. While he's primarily beagle, there's a chance a bit of dachshund runs in his family tree. Deacon is friendly and enjoys medium-energy activities like treat time and leisurely walks on a leash. He's great with other dogs, which makes him a good candidate for a multi-pet household. A physically-fenced yard is essential for him, so he can safely explore without straying too far. If you’re interested in adding this little guy to your family, please consider filling out an adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. You can also meet him at our weekly event on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to ensure a perfect match before finalizing any adoption. We prioritize homes where current pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations, and we do check veterinary references to ensure excellent care for our animals.
