About Jonah

If you're looking for a sunny, tail-wagging shadow to follow you through life, say hello to Jonah! This sweet boy lives for the people (and pups) he loves, and he brings big happy energy to every room he walks into. Jonah is the kind of dog who just wants to be with you β€” whether that's on a hike, hanging out on the couch, or exploring the backyard. He's active, enthusiastic, and still has all that wonderful puppy joy, so he'll thrive in a home that can match his energy and give him plenty of outlets for it. Jonah's ideal home looks like: A canine companion β€” Jonah does best with another dog in the home. He genuinely loves dog company and will flourish with a four-legged friend by his side. People who are around β€” He's a velcro pup at heart and doesn't love being alone. The more time you can spend with him, the happier he'll be. An active lifestyle β€” Walks, play sessions, adventures β€” Jonah is game for all of it. A securely fenced yard would be a bonus for burning off that puppy zest, though it's not a requirement. At 8–9 months old, Jonah is right in that sweet spot β€” past the tiniest puppy phase but still young enough to grow and bond deeply with his forever family. With the right home, he's going to be an absolutely wonderful companion. Think Jonah could be your perfect match? Fill out an adoption application today β€” we'd love to tell you more about him! The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
