🐾Meet Casey🐾 Shepherd Iab mix? And yes, she’s every bit as special as she sounds. KC arrived a couple of weeks ago after being found behind the shelter area at Roslyn Landing still wearing a chain. Despite efforts, no one has come forward for her, and we can’t imagine why this sweet girl was ever abandoned. This girl is pure heart. She’s incredibly gentle on leash, easygoing, and carries herself with the kind of calm presence that makes you instantly relax around her. She leans in for affection like she’s giving out hugs on purpose, and when she looks at you, it’s with that quiet “please choose me” kind of hope that sticks with you. She’s not high energy or chaotic — she’s well-mannered, steady, and just… easy to love. That said, KC does have a little “escape artist” side. If left unattended in a fenced yard, she’ll look for a way out and isn’t above a little digging to make it happen. She’ll do best with supervision outdoors, a secure setup, and/or a family committed to leash walks and continued training. Other than that, she’s been wonderful with other dogs. She hasn’t been cat tested yet, but we can update as soon as that’s done. She’s also already scheduled for her spay and rabies vaccination. KC is estimated to be around a year old — still young, still full of promise, and ready to learn what it really means to be safe and loved. She’s not asking for much… just someone who won’t leave her behind again
